Be aware that it usually takes multiple drafts to create and complete a successful text
Before each final draft that I submit, it usually takes me three drafts to create and complete a successful text. My method is pretty simple depending on what the assignment is. If the assignment calls for me to read a passage, I would first outline the passage to answer questions asked of me, free write as if I am writing the final draft, then edit, revise, and proof-read to draft the free write and to my final work. However, when the assignment does not include a passage, I do all those steps above except for outlining the passage. To see an example you can go to link below which will direct you to my blog’s classwork section.

Develop flexible strategies for generating, revising, editing, and proof-reading
When preparing for an assignment I do the same strategies each time. I first outline and plan out my idea. Next, I free write but I treat it as though it is a final timed writing. Then I edit the free write and include transitions, and more information. During this step I ask myself questions about what I need to add, take way, or take out of sequence to make it better. Lastly, I look for grammar and punctuation errors while proof-reading the assignment. You can see these steps on my blog as well.
Understand writing as an open process that permits writers to use later invention and re-thinking to revise their work
Specifically in the Kickstarter Mock project it took a while for my group to get our idea all together. It took us many times to get to the central idea and purpose of our product that we were trying to pitch to our audience. We literally figured everything out the day before the first rough draft was due, which made it easier for us to go ahead and complete the project way before the due date. We had to rethink many of the pervious ideas that we came up with and the last one seemed to be perfect.
Understand the collaborative and social aspects of writing processes
I would have to say that this semester taught me how valuable peer evaluations really are. I use to not care for peer evaluations. However, I learned that peer reviews allow me to see how my readers think, if they understand the purpose of my work or if my purpose is even clear. I enjoy collaborating with others, learning how they feel about my work and what they think will make my work better. For instance when we did group work and peer review letters we had to work together to not only perfect our groups work as a whole but also individually, which contributed to the collaborative and social aspects of the writing process.

Learn to critique their own and others' works
Through peer review letters I learned to critique my own and others’ work. Like I mentioned before I did not care much about peer reviewing until I realized how beneficial they can be. If it were not for peer reviews I would have not made the best of the grades that I did on my assignments. Allowing others to critique your work helps reveal mistakes that you continued to overlook in your drafts. I now love for others to edit my writing and to help them out as well.
Learn to balance the advantages of relying on others with the responsibility of doing their part
I worked in group twice this semester and we did not reach a problem that the group could not solve. The first time was for the “Best Of” project with Blake and William. We worked well as a group and the process went by smooth as we got the work done. This is exactly how I like things to go because that means that everyone is doing their part in a timely manner. The other time was for the “Kickstarter Mock” project with Tony, Lisa, James, and Akia. In the beginning we stumbled a little but we soon realized everyone’s strengths and weaknesses and got the job done. This was the most interesting project to me because it was not very hard but it took a lot of creative thinking, and that’s what I enjoy.

Use a variety of technologies to address a range of audiences
All of my completed projects were posted online, so I learned to format my work into something online readers would enjoy. You can see how I made my writing online friendly on my blog. However, my Rhetorical Ad Analysis should have been an assignment that I would have put on paper instead of online because it was not meant for an online read. So, in conclusion I used different technologies to help speak to a range of audiences.
